Description
Capa Flexible Waterproof
(also known as Flexible Waterproof Coating, Elastic Waterproof Membrane, or Flexible Waterproofing Layer)
Capa Flexible Waterproof is a high-performance, elastomeric waterproofing coating designed to form a flexible, continuous, and impermeable barrier on surfaces exposed to water or moisture. It is typically applied as a liquid or paste, which cures to create a seamless rubber-like membrane capable of withstanding structural movement, temperature variation, and hydrostatic pressure. The product is ideal for waterproofing both horizontal and vertical surfaces, particularly in areas where traditional rigid membranes would crack or fail.
Base Material:
Usually composed of polymer-modified cement, acrylic resins, or polyurethane-based elastomers.
Some versions are single-component, while others are two-component systems (liquid resin + powder mix).
Highly Flexible:
Accommodates substrate movement, expansion, and contraction without cracking or delaminating.
Waterproof & Vapor-Resistant:
Provides a 100% watertight seal, ideal for protecting surfaces against water penetration and dampness.
Durable & Long-Lasting:
Resistant to weathering, salts, mild acids/alkalis, and temperature changes.
Applications:
Bathrooms, Kitchens & Wet Rooms
Terraces, Balconies & Roof Slabs
Water Tanks, Ponds, and Pools
Basements & Retaining Walls
Foundations, Podiums & Planters
Pre-tile Waterproofing Membranes
Installation Guidelines:
Surface Preparation:
Surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil, dust, and loose materials.
Repair cracks or voids before applying.
Application Methods:
Applied by brush, roller, trowel, or airless spray, depending on consistency.
Typically applied in 2–3 coats, allowing proper drying between layers.
Reinforcement mesh may be embedded between coats for enhanced strength.
Curing & Protection:
Allow full curing before exposure to water or overlaying with tiles or screed.
Some formulations are paintable or coatable.
